Official Statement by BR Metals Pte Ltd Regarding False Allegations Circulating on Social Media

Singapore, July 24, 2026 – BR Metals Pte. Ltd is aware of a series of Facebook posts published by an individual known as “Siwat”, including a subsequent post on 22 July claiming that he had been “threatened.”

We issue this statement to set out the facts and to reassure our customers, business partners and other stakeholders.

BR Metals Categorically Denies All Allegations

BR Metals categorically rejects every allegation made in the Facebook posts. Among other things, the posts falsely allege or imply that BR Metals:

– uses hazardous chemicals in its operations in Thailand
– causes environmental pollution affecting nearby communities
– is engaged in unlawful activities;
– is involved in money laundering or other criminal conduct; and
– presents compliance or responsible sourcing risks to customers and business partners.

These allegations are false, misleading and entirely without factual basis.

Official Investigation by Thai Authorities

Following complaints made by members of the public, the relevant Thai authorities, including the Thai Police, conducted inspections and investigations of the facility on 14 July 2026 as referred to in the posts.

The authorities concluded that no wrongdoing had occurred.

BR Metals and its Thai business partner were cleared following those investigations.

We are in possession of official documentation confirming these findings.

Clarification of Our Operations

1. BR Metals does not own or operate the processing facility referred to in the posts.
2. Our role in Thailand is limited to providing consultancy, valuation and technical advisory services relating to the spent catalytic converter recycling business.
3. The facility performs only the mechanical processing of spent catalytic converter ceramic substrates through crushing, grinding and homogenisation before shipment for downstream refining.
4. No hazardous chemical processing is used in these operations.

Response to the 22 July Facebook Post

In a subsequent Facebook post published on 22 July, the author claimed that he had been “threatened.”

BR Metals categorically denies this allegation. Neither BR Metals nor any of its directors, employees or representatives has threatened the individual in any manner.

What BR Metals has done is exercise its lawful right to protect its reputation against false and defamatory allegations.

We have engaged independent legal counsel in Singapore and Thailand to advise us on the appropriate legal steps available. Any communications issued by or on behalf of our lawyers are part of a lawful legal process and should not be characterised as threats.

Commitment to Transparency

BR Metals has always conducted its business with integrity, transparency and respect for the rule of law in all the markets we operate in.

We recognise the importance of maintaining the confidence of our customers, suppliers, refinery partners and stakeholders.

Accordingly, we are prepared to provide supporting evidence, where appropriate, including:

– official documentation issued by the Thai authorities confirming that no wrongdoing was found;
– technical information explaining the actual operations carried out at the Thai facility;
– documentation demonstrating that hazardous chemicals are not used in the processing activities referred to in the posts; and
– other evidence refuting the allegations that have been circulated.

This information is available upon reasonable request.

Legal Action

Given the seriousness of the false allegations and the damage caused to BR Metals’ reputation and commercial relationships, we have instructed legal counsel in Singapore and Thailand to pursue all appropriate legal remedies available to us.

Our objective is to protect the reputation of BR Metals, safeguard the interests of our customers and business partners, and ensure that false information is addressed through the proper legal process.

Two New bulk sampling technology patents ensure better PGM sampling results & a better workplace

In our continuous commitment to our gold-standard sample results delivery, we are proud to announce that the research and engineering team of our Guangdong office, Shao Guan BR Metals Environmental Technology, has attained another two more patents in less than 12 months from the last patent acquired.

First patent: Smart air ventilation control system

The first patent is a smart air ventilation control system that efficiently adjusts powder concentration in the air via automation to enhance workplace air quality. It operates as follows:

Dust concentration sensors detect the concentration of powder in the air automatically.
The sensors transmit signals immediately to the dust collection module
A signal from the module is then fed to the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) terminal.
The PLC terminal accurately calculates and adjusts the valve body actuator and draft fan to increase or decrease air flow, ventilating the production plant efficiently.

In comparison to the previous ventilation system, the new automated system has these benefits:

Calculates and controls air quality automatically thus more efficiently and accurately, in contrast to manual calculation and control.
Reduces manpower labour for manual calculations and physical steps to adjust the ventilation.
Greater improvement in air quality in the plant environment for production staff, enhancing staff welfare and productivity.
This new automated system aligns with our business compliance to continue to provide a safe and healthy workplace for our valued staff.

Second patent: 120L plastic drum mixer

The second patent is incorporation of a 120L plastic drum into the actuator of the mixer.

In the previous system, the steel barrel cannot be detached from the main structure thus cleaning it can be arduous and time-consuming, taking away critical time from the mixer to homogenise the sample lot. In addition, being unable to clean it efficiently may lead to potential cross contamination from one sample lot to the next lot.

A 120L plastic drum is fitted into the actuator with a low cost yet stable clamp mechanism. The clamp mechanism, a cage-like structure, is easy to adjust to any angle for easy cleaning.

Using the drum has these benefits:

Smoother surface thus easier to clean, reducing manpower time for cleaning.
Less critical time taken away from milling the sample lot, allowing faster turnaround time for customers.
Eliminates any chance of cross-contamination from a previous lot, ensuring accurate analysis results.
Easy to detach and able to double up as a hopper for other machinery.
Easy to procure and replace if and when required to.

Our two patents are conferred by CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) of the People’s Republic of China. Based on the criteria of revenue growth from 2016 to 2019, BR Metals secures a place in the Top 10 ranking of Singapore’s Fastest Growing Companies with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in revenue of 178.90% over a 4-years period. It has managed to stay within the ranking for three years in a row.

New Patent Granted for Automated Vacuum Sorting and Transport System

In our quest to become a leading player in environmental technology, Shao Guan BR Metals Environmental Technology has achieved a significant milestone with our first patent granted by the CNIPA (National Intellectual Property Administration) of the People’s Republic of China.

The patent is for a vacuum conveying device that automatically removes waste ferrous particles from processed catalytic converters ceramic powder. This new technology will not only markedly improve efficiency, speed and recovery rate of our bulk sampling process, but will also increase the accuracy of analysis results to ensure better returns for our customers.
