Type of Scrap Materials
Spent Catalytic converters from vehicles contain precious metals including Palladium, Platinum and Rhodium that can be efficiently recovered. Our laboratory is equipped to analyze and process both ceramic and metallic substrate catalytic converters. Using proven methods, we can determine the precious metal content in the catalyst materials rapidly and accurately.
These are used in automotive to deliver electric current from the ignition system to the combustion chamber. The spark generating tips contain either Iridium or Platinum, which we can readily recover.
They measure the residue oxygen content in the combustion chamber and help to control the air-fuel ratio and control emission. The surface of an oxygen sensor is covered with gas-permeable platinum electrodes, which we are well equipped to recover.
These are used in the manufacturing of ethanol and Platinum catalysts in refineries producing high-grade gasoline. Both can be professionally sampled, analyzed and processed at our facilities. We also work closely with our trusted partners to provide highly competitive returns for the refining of these materials.
Electrical Control Units (ECU) & Electronic Circuit Boards
ECU is a generic term for any embedded system that controls one or more of the electronic system or subsystems in a motor vehicle. We recycle the semi-conductors and electrical drivers in the ECUs for both base and precious metals.
